Fowlers Bay

Was exhausted last night, went to bed 7.45pm. Woke up to a motor running, looked outside, Sharon had turned on her motor to charge up her house batteries. It had been cloudy  for a couple of days so the Solar panels didn't charge up.

I could see there was a motorhome parked right up behind her, I just don't understand, this place is huge, why did they feel the need to park so close?

Sharon called me at 7.30am, she took pictures of the sun rising, I got up and we had coffee outside., I made bacon and eggs on the little burner I had.

We drove into Penong Woolshed, the lady made us a cuppa and sat with us telling all about the town., Fowlers Bay was a nice place to go. So we headed for Fowlers Bay, on the way Sharon and Miss Daisy were pulled over by the Police. Apparently in S A, you have to slow to 25ks ph at an incident. The police had pulled up a car a few minutes earlier on the other side of the road. We didn't slow down. All OK, she was released with a warning.

I put on FB, that Sharon was hooning, that Miss Daisy likes to speed up every now and again LOL.

Finally arrived at Fowlers Bay, gorgeous, sand dunes surround the town., it was an old whaling station. There are 4WDs playing on the sand dunes. We are staying at the Caravan Park, no free camps allowed, its a bit pricey.$31 for te night, no TV, only power and water. We did a few loads of washing.

Tonight we sat by the hot camp fire and ate, Salmon that some young fisherman contributed, chicken patties, sausages, potatoes pumpkin, all done on the coals. With a side a salads, very nice in deed.

Met Meagan and her husband from Perth, and another lady and her husband David, she told us about a free camp at Fraser Range. Looks like we're heading that way.

Such a beautiful night, black clear sky, brilliant stars.
